Hey, I’m Jakeel, a graphic designer based in the Chicagoland area.

My creative journey started in an unexpected place. I was never strong at drawing, but my curiosity for creativity never left. From experimenting with Kid Pix to discovering Photoshop in high school, I found my lane in digital design, and that spark has been driving my growth ever since.

I’ve spent the past few years building experience across print, digital, and video while continuing to expand my skills in motion and editing. My process is rooted in research, intention, and collaboration. I value understanding the “why” behind a design by diving into ideas, gathering insight, and refining concepts through feedback and new perspectives. I enjoy working with others, learning from different viewpoints, and pushing ideas further than where they start. Growth and adaptability are a big part of how I approach my craft.

Outside of design, I draw a lot of inspiration from video games and film. Both continue to shape how I think about storytelling, pacing, and visual impact. I was once told you have to be a “bit crazy” to pursue creativity as a career. Honestly, that’s part of what makes the ride so exciting. you never quite know where the path leads, but the thrill keeps me moving forward.
